The KofC Ultrasound Fundraising Initiative provides funding to purchase costly ultrasound equipment for crisis pregnancy centers.  Ultrasound technology allows a mother to see her developing child and recognize the miracle of life within her.  As a result, thousands of mothers have decided to keep their babies.  Saturday January 27th from 6-9pm, there will be a fundraising dinner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church to support the initiative.  Please join us for fun, and to support a worthy cause.  Tickets are $30/person.   In addition, volunteers are needed to help after each Mass with taking reservations and handing out flyers. Join Bishop John Dolan in a new video series titled “Word and Art,” where he shares his reflections on our Sunday readings and a famous work of art. The first four episodes are tied to each week of Advent, and Bishop John hopes these brief moments with art and Scripture will help you to make the most of this Advent season leading up to Christmas.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be celebrating the Feast of the Holy Family, with a Consecration to the Holy Family occurring at weekend Mass Times, Saturday December 30th and 31st. In preparation, brochures and prayer cards will be distributed to parishioners after Mass in the Shrine Area, the weekends of December 16th-17th and 23rd-24th. Please join with the OLMC Knights of Columbus in celebrating the Feast of and Consecration to the Holy Family.

Our next monthly OLMC 2nd Sunday Pancake Breakfast is this Sunday.  We need help with volunteers starting at 6:30 AM in McCready Hall, until about 11 AM.  Even if you can’t help the full time, come out and spell your brothers so they can grab a bite and some rest.  Volunteers have to have their Safe Environment and Food Handlers training completed.  If you don’t have a Food Handler’s card, go online and take the training, we will reimburse you.    Shorts are not permitted and a head covering is required. If you can’t help and you just want to come out for some pancakes and fellowship, the meal is on a donation basis.

Brothers, OLMC Knights of Columbus is having a Membership Drive the weekend of October 7-8. Information will be available in the Shrine Area after all weekend Mass times. Please stop by after Mass to speak with interested candidates and share your experiences serving the Parish through your work in our Council.
