Our Council Christmas Party is scheduled for Saturday 12/17! We will be holding a “Corporate Mass” for all members at the 5 PM Mass and then adjourning to the hall for the Christmas Party. All Knights and their families are asked to bring a side dish (or desert). The Council will be providing Fried Chicken, Soda and other beverages. Brother Knight Jacob Hayton will be helping to coordinate this event. Please email [email protected] if you plan to attend and if you will be bringing any little ones. Also, please let us know what dish you will be bringing. Children of course are welcome and we are hoping to have a special guest for them… Christmas music, dinner and fellowship with your brother Knights and their families, please come!
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The KofC annual “Light up for Christmas” ceremony is Wednesday 12/7 after the 7 PM Vigil Mass outside the church. The ceremony starts at/around 8 PM. The set up will start at 6:30 PM and we should be done by 8:30 PM, with all cleanup completed by 9:00 PM. We are asking all Knights to bring a baked good to the Light up ceremony. Knights will provide hot cocoa and coffee. We also need help setting up the trees the weekend before. Pat Kedrowski will be coordinating this event and the assembly of the trees to start at OLMC in the courtyard on Saturday 12/3 at about 9 AM and decorating of the trees on Sunday 12/4 at about 1-4 PM. We hope to see you and your families there!
Year of Mercy Closing Adoration
Brothers, Council 6627 has been invited to participate in 24 Hours of Adoration in Thanksgiving for the Year of Mercy. Adoration runs from November 18 at 6pm to November 19 at 6pm and is located at OLMC in the South Deanery. Fr. John has asked the Knights to provide support for the 1am – 2am shift on November 19. Please support the Council and the Parish during that time period, or any other time in which you are available. Adoration is a great opportunity to spend some quiet time with our Lord. We hope to see you there.
Corporate Mass and 5th Sunday Rosary
On Sunday October 30th at 9AM, all Knights and their families are invited to attend the 9AM Mass together. A separate area will be cordoned off for us all to sit together. Knights shirts or name badges are encouraged but not required. After the Mass, we will be leading a Rosary for the Parish together:
In the spirit of unity the Knights of Columbus of Mount Carmel parish are pleased to invite everyone to join us as we gather to pray a 5th Sunday Rosary. We encourage everyone to join us next in the church Sunday, October 30th immediately following the 9am Mass. So, if you attend the 9am Mass plan to stay and pray! If you attend the 11am Mass, don’t forget to come early and pray! Knights will be supplying the finger rosaries and prayer cards or parishioners may use their own rosary.
Thank you for your time and support!
Our sincere thanks to all of you who donated time and/or money towards making the 2016 PWID Drive a success. We were able to raise close to $4,000 to donate to various schools and organizations supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
