Maggie’s Place Work Effort

Brothers, we will be scheduling reoccurring planned sessions working on the Maggie Place (Elizabeth House) facility. This Saturday, September 15 from 1 – 3 PM we need volunteers at the facility to help move furniture at their location. Please contact the Grand Knight if you are able to assist. Do not show up without contact since we must be sensitive to the requests of the staff. We will also be starting a drive for items requested by the House. More details to come.

Golf Tournament Thank You!

golf courseOn Saturday, April, 28th, 108 Golfers of all ages, gender & ability, converged on the Superstition Springs Golf Club in Mesa, AZ for the 11th Annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church / Knights of Columbus Council 6627 Charity Golf Tournament held in Memory of Andy Soesilo for the benefit of Knights of Columbus charities. The event featured an enthusiastic group of golfers, numerous corporate sponsors and many volunteers from Our Lady of Mt Carmel Parishioners & Staff, and The Knights of Columbus. Several of our sponsors were among the volunteers as well.

The Knights of Columbus is a non-profit organization that supports various charities throughout the year and our Golf Tournament is one of our primary fund raising events for these charities. Some of the organizations that we support include Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and School, Sisters of the Servants of the Plan of God, The Full Circle Program for at risk youth, Aid to Women’s Center, Pro-Life, Arizona Right to Life, People with Intellectual Disabilities Drive and Vocations and Seminarian Support to name a few.

We would especially like to recognize Deacon Jim Brett for opening the tournament with prayer, Fr. Jerome Cayetano, our Council chaplain, for his blessing before the luncheon, and Sr. Maria Jose & Sr. Maria Alejandra from the Sisters of The Servants of The Plan of God who were on hand as well to assist us in encouraging the golfers to give generously to the effort.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved for their generous gifts of time & treasure in making this year’s Tournament a success.

Thank You and God Bless,

The 2018 11th Annual Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church / Knights of Columbus Council 6627 Charity Golf Tournament held in Memory of Andy Soesilo Golf Tournament Team
